1. How to delete your data

You can ask us to delete your personal data from ProRentz at any time, in either of two ways:

In the app (fastest): open Settings → Close Account. This removes your profile and associated personal data, subject to the legal retention noted below.

By email: send a deletion request from your registered email or phone to r.rajieev@gmail.com, including your registered phone number so we can verify it's you. We action verified requests within 30 days, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. What gets deleted

On a verified request we delete your account profile, contact details, uploaded photos, chat messages, and the tenancy and payment records tied to your account — except records we are legally required to retain (below).

3. What we must retain, and for how long

Indian law requires us to keep some records even after deletion:

Up to 7 years: financial/payment and tenancy records (Income Tax Act, Indian Contract Act, applicable state Rent Acts) and consent/audit logs — for tax, dispute-resolution, and evidentiary purposes.

Up to 90 days: routine encrypted backups, which are overwritten on a rolling basis.

After these periods the data is permanently deleted.

4. Confirmation

Once processed, we email you a confirmation. If any data must be retained for a legal reason, we tell you which data and for how long.
